Story times are for children ages 2 and older and their families or caregivers.

Lap Sit every Monday at 10:30 & 11:15 a.m. in the Children’s Activity Room
Babies, toddlers, preschool children and their parents or caregivers are welcome to attend our lap sit program. Make new friends while listening to simple stories and learning finger plays and songs with Miss Amanda. Free; no registration
Unfortunately, Amanda Bean’s last day will be June 25, as her family will be growing, but we are hoping to hire a new lap sit leader by the end of June. Check the children’s page of the library web site to learn if there will be a substitute, a replacement, or an informal playgroup.

2018 Summer Reading Program: “Reading Takes You Everywhere!”

Our summer reading program is for children who are age 1 through those who have just completed grade 6, so it is for listeners as well as readers. Children are not required to have a library card to enroll in the program.

Participants will receive a bag, a bookmark, and a reading record on which they will list the books they read or the time they spend reading during the summer. Parents of pre-school children will record the titles of books that they read to their children.

Children will collect prizes during the summer as they work toward and reach their reading goals. **** The first day to collect prizes will be June 4, and the last day will be August 11. ****

Children may collect the 1st level prize after reading 12 books (or a total of 6 hours) and the 2nd level (final) prize after reading 24 books (or a total of 12 hours). For the best selection of prizes, children should collect them as soon they reach their goals. Children may not repeat the program.

Register: May 21st – July 15th; Read: May 21st – July 31st

Collect Prizes: June 4th – August 11th
